The DH500 AC/DC series duct housing is designed to
sample air currents passing through a duct and allows
the early detection of developing fire. The DH500 AC/
DC duct housing will accommodate either the
intelligent ionisation sensor or the intelligent optical
sensor, either of which provides continuous
analogue monitoring of the unit’s sensitivity and
alarm verification from the panel.
When sufficient smoke is sensed, an alarm signal
is initiated at the control panel, monitoring the
detector, and appropriate action can be taken to
shut off fans, and blowers, change over air
handling systems, etc. This can prevent the rapid
distribution or isolation of toxic smoke and fire
gases throughout the areas served by the duct
system.
The DH500 AC/DC duct detector system features
the superior capabilities of an intelligent sensor
in a unit that is easy to install and maintain,
making this duct detector the new industry
standard.
